We had a very nice day flying at the Monroe space port this last Sunday. With 61 flyers, we launched a total of 157 flights. This brings us to a year-to-date total of 1,223.
The motor breakdown was:
1/4A: 1
1/2A: 2
A: 7
B: 16
C: 38
D: 20
E: 3
F: 20
G: 26
H: 10
I: 12
J: 2
K: 0
This was also a good month for certification flights with four level one and
one level two. These are:
Michael Dennis: "Volcano", H180
Andrew Macmillian, "Mystic Buzz", H220
Rich MacDonald, PML Patriot, H242
Steven Maraz, PML Amraam, H242
Level 2: Chuck Layton, "My big ASP", J350
Congratulations to all and we expect to see really cool projects from you at
the next launch ;-)
This month we also played host to the fine folks at Rocket Vision testing their new computer controlled Veri-Fire digital launch system. They were able to launch everything on our six mid power pads with a total of 47 flights launched. Except for some stumble footed flyers pulling the cables out of the controllers we had no problems. Even the software running on the laptop did not crash!
As I so often do, I didn't note the names of those fine folks who volunteered their time to help out at the launch in the position of Pad Manager, LCO, and RSO. While I can't personally honor your contribution here in print, I do want to say to you as a group how much we thank you for your efforts.
We suspended operation about 90 minutes early when lighting was seen in the area. Again, let me thank all those who stayed to help break down the range.
